About this document
Dietary PAH Exposure in Smoked Meats by hardikgangadharan is a document available to read on EtoBox.
This document analyzes 128 smoked meat samples from Latvia for levels of 4 polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs). Median levels of individual PAHs and total PAH4 were found to be higher in smoked chicken. Nearly 14% of samples may exceed the upcoming European Union limit of 2.0 mg/kg for benzo[a]pyrene. Exposure analysis found Latvian consumer exposure to PAHs from smoked meat does not suggest significant health concerns.
