ONSD Timing in Post-Cardiac Arrest Prognosis by ashkan azizi is a document available to read on EtoBox.
This study evaluates the optimal timing for measuring optic nerve sheath diameter (ONSD) to predict neurologic outcomes in post-cardiac arrest patients undergoing targeted temperature management. The findings indicate that measuring ONSD at 24 hours after return of spontaneous circulation (ROSC) is a strong predictor of poor neurologic outcomes, with a sensitivity of 83.3% and specificity of 94.4%. The study recommends ONSD measurement at 24 hours instead of immediately after ROSC for better prognostication
