Ibn Al-Muqaffa was an 8th century Persian scholar, author and translator who wrote extensively in Arabic. Some of his most significant works included translating the Indian fables of Kalila and Dimna and the Persian book Siyar Al Muluk into Arabic. However, he faced political persecution and was eventually executed on false charges at the age of 38.
