This thesis examines the structural geometry of the Jurassic-Cretaceous rift system in the Middle Magdalena Valley basin in Colombia. The author interprets seismic and well data to construct structural maps and cross sections of the rift stratigraphy. The study area experienced extension during the Early Jurassic breakup of Pangea, resulting in the development of half-graben rift basins bounded by normal faults.
