About this Materials Science article
Variation of the shape of Fe3O4-nanoparticles on the heat transfer phenomenon with the inclusion of thermal radiation by P. K. Pattnaik; J. R. Pattnaik; S. R. Mishra; Kottakkaran Sooppy Nisar is a Materials Science article available to read on EtoBox.
The importance of nanoparticle shape on the flow of nanofluid for the application of energy conversion, micromixing, etc., is vital. The study reveals the flow of a conducting nanofluid to enrich the heat transfer phenomena considering Fe 3 O 4water-based nanofluid. The flow past a radically extended sheet for the influence of radiative heat energy. As a novelty, the study takes place considering various shapes of the proposed nanoparticles such as column, sphere, hexahedron, tetrahedron, and lamina. A suitable similar transformation is imposed for the governing equations to convert into a set of ODEs. Further, a numerical technique with help of in-build code bvp5c is used for the solution of the transformed problem. However, the physical behavior of several parameters on the flow phenomena as well as engineering coefficients is displayed via graphs and elaborated.
