This paper presents the results of an investigation of shear strength of large-sized concrete beams reinforced with ASTM A1035 Grade 100 bars. Cracking and deflection under service load of the beams with a reduced reinforcement ratio are within acceptable limits. The experimental program included 18 tests using nine large-sized RC beams tested under static loading up to failure.
