The existing site contains clay soil over limestone bedrock located 2 feet below the surface. To prepare for a slab-on-grade foundation for a new restaurant, the clay will be removed down to the limestone and replaced with compacted crushed limestone fill graded to a uniform elevation. An estimated 360 cubic yards of clay will be excavated and 700 cubic yards of limestone fill will be needed. A reinforced concrete slab and beams will be constructed to support the building.
