Total visitors to Bermuda during the third quarter of 2012 fell 2.7% compared to the same period in 2011, mainly due to an 8% decline in cruise ship calls. Air arrivals increased slightly by 1.17% despite Hurricane Leslie, with the majority (77%) of visitors originating from the United States. Canada saw strong growth of 13.6% while arrivals from the UK and Europe declined by 2-11%. Cruise visitors decreased by almost 4% due to six fewer ship calls in September. Yacht arrivals also declined by 13.56%.
