What is Red-Back Spider: Habitat, Diet, and Facts about?

The red-back spider is identified by its black body with an orange stripe down the back for females and light brown coloring for males. They live in webs in dry, dark areas like under houses and sheds. Red-back spiders move at night on eight legs and can catch insects and larger animals in their webs. They inject venom to kill prey and drink the resulting liquid. Female red-back spiders can lay up to 300 eggs in each of 3 to 8 egg sacs over 2 to 3 months.
