Groundwater is as an essential source of water supply because of its low chance of contamination vulnerability compared to surface water and stored water. Because of the recognized health and economic consequences of groundwater pollution, actions must be made to assess groundwater susceptibility in order to prosecute long-term groundwater protection and management plans. The intrinsic properties of groundwater that govern its vulnerability to being dangerously affected by an applied contaminant load are referred to as susceptibility. The DRASTIC model is a popular one for such studies. The whole area is rated on a scale of low, moderate, high, and very high pollution susceptibility. The model is compared to groundwater quality data, and the findings demonstrate good correlation between the DRASTIC-based vulnerability scores and TDS and chloride ions (Cl−) levels. The DRASTIC model results were processed through a computer-based Geographic Information System to create the groundwater vulnerability map.
