This study investigates the association between environmental noise exposure and atherothrombotic risk in patients with acute myocardial infarction (MI). Analysis of 879 MI patients revealed that increased noise levels, particularly from transportation, correlate with higher atherothrombotic risk, with significant effects observed in men but not in women. The findings highlight the potential health impacts of urban noise exposure and suggest implications for secondary prevention strategies.
