The City Brands Index (CBI) provides a list of best and worst cities based on surveys of ordinary people in other countries grading cities in the same way they would products. Unlike other lists, the CBI asks people to grade cities based on their perceptions from media and news rather than facts or visits. Each year around 10,000 people from 20 countries grade a total of 50 cities based on categories like economy, education, environment, culture and climate.
