About this document

CMA Production and Cost Analysis by hamid is a document available to read on EtoBox.

This document provides a summary of a research project that evaluated the use of calcium magnesium acetate (CMA) as a deicing agent. The objectives of the project were to: 1) produce CMA coated sand for field testing, 2) evaluate its effectiveness in field conditions compared to standard sand and salt mixture, 3) investigate its effects on concrete scaling, and 4) determine feasibility of producing higher magnesium CMA. About 10.5 tons of CMA coated sand were produced for testing at a cost of $130 per ton.
