About this document

Pediatric Rhabdomyolysis and Renal Failure by mayra.concha is a document available to read on EtoBox.

This study investigates the causes and rates of acute renal failure (ARF) in pediatric rhabdomyolysis, finding that viral myositis and trauma are the most common causes. Among 191 patients, only 9 developed ARF, indicating a significantly lower risk compared to adults. The study highlights the importance of initial creatinine kinase levels and urinary heme dipstick results as predictors for ARF in children.
