What is TriboTouch: Micro-Patterned Surfaces for Low Latency Touchscreens about?
Figure : Block diagram of the TriboTouch system. The TriboTouch layer sits on top of a 2D touch sensor and display. Micropatterns with a pitch of 5μm induce vibrations in the screen when a fnger is dragged. This signal is sampled and fused with conventional 2D touch data, then fed into a machine learning model, which makes touch predictions with a lower latency than the touchscreen data alone.
