What is Annual Report of the Director of the American Center of Oriental Research in Amman about?

Under old business, Philip J. King reported for a committee that had been appointed to review a proposal from Professor James F. Strange of the University of South Florida that ASOR join the Museum Computer Network, a computerized data bank that has been in existence since 1967. The purpose would be to provide a valuable aid in analyzing and studying artifactual data from ASOR-related excavations. Dr. King said the committee recommended ASOR affiliation with the MICN, pending the funding of the annual membership cost. Professor John H. Marks announced the projected lecture tour of ACOR Director Bastiaan Van Elderen in the United States during January 1974. He said notice of the lecture titles will be circulated among the Corporation members shortly, probably by way of the Newsletter. President Wright indicated that the next meeting of the Trustees would be a year hence, in May of 1974. The exact date and time will be sent to the Trustees after it has been determined whether the first or second week of May would be the most suitable time for most Trustees. There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 4 p. m. Respectfully submitted, GEORGE M. LANDES
