Can I read A 13C nmr and esr study on the structure of the different forms of the cobalt-bleomycin A2 complex on EtoBox?

A 13C nmr and esr study on the structure of the different forms of the cobalt-bleomycin A2 complex by Cornelis M. Vos; Gerrit Westera; Dick Schipper is a Chemistry article available to read on EtoBox.

What is A 13C nmr and esr study on the structure of the different forms of the cobalt-bleomycin A2 complex about?

1% nmr and esr spectra have been recorded from oxygenated cobalt-bleomycin Ap. It appears that (a) in oxygenated cobalt-bleomycin all the cobalt is in the Co8+ oxidation state, (b) the a3C nmr data indicate a structure of the Co-bleomycin complex in which the nitrogens of the pyrimidine, the imidazole, and the secondary and primary amine of the diaminopropanoic amide are involved as planar equatorial ligands. and (c) free bleomycin forms a "dimer" with Co-bleomycin. [S] , .which we established by means of high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and ion-exchange liquid chromatography\_ Three Co-bhn complexes have been distinguished: (a) Co-bhn, in which six internal ligands were chelated to Co, @I) Co-blm, with five internal lig8nds and a carboxylate anion as the external hgand, and (c) Co-bIm, with O2 as the external ligand. (a) and (b) together were catled form I; (c) was called form II. Using some of the same techniques, Raban et al. [6] also found two forms of Co-blm. They postulated Address reprint requests to: C. M.
