This study presents a Sliding Mode Control approach for a three-phase shunt active power filter, enhancing stability and robustness without the need to separate the system model. A simplified Space Vector Modulation algorithm is proposed to generate pulses for the active filter, eliminating the complexity of conventional methods that require trigonometric functions and look-up tables. Simulation results using PSIM and MATLAB confirm the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy.
