Abstract A neutron diffraction analysis was performed on a single crystal of natural natrolite, Na2Al2Si3O10· 2H2O, orthorhombic,Fdd2,a= 18.326(5) Å,b= 18.652(5) Å,c= 6.601(3) Å,Z= 8. Refinement of 235 independent reflections yieldedR= 0.028. The Al – O and Si – O bond distances are determined with a precision of 0.005 Å. The O – H bonds range from 0.9125 to 0.9130 Å. The mean angle O – H ... O is 156.9°.
