What is Motion in Two Dimensions: Concepts & Examples about?

This chapter discusses uniform circular motion, which occurs when an object travels at a constant speed in a circular path. Acceleration occurs in circular motion because the direction of the velocity is constantly changing. The acceleration is called centripetal acceleration and its magnitude is v^2/r, always pointing toward the center of the circle. The period of motion is the time to travel once around the circle and is calculated as 2πr/v.
