What is Evaluating Misrepresentation in Academia about?

A student claimed to be the vice-president of Beta Alpha Psi but was actually the vice-president in charge of guest speakers. It is unclear if this constitutes a material misrepresentation. While the professor employed only one teaching assistant, it is possible the student was a teaching assistant for a different class. An award for top student that the student claimed may exist but be unknown or unrecognized at the university level.
