About this document
Understanding Plate Boundaries by Vincent Garcia is a document available to read on EtoBox.
Plate boundaries are the edges where two tectonic plates meet. There are three main types of plate boundaries: divergent boundaries where plates move apart, convergent boundaries where they move towards each other, and transform boundaries where they slide past each other horizontally. Divergent boundaries form mid-ocean ridges and rift valleys, convergent boundaries result in subduction and volcanic arcs, and transform boundaries cause earthquakes along faults.
