This document discusses a study on the effect of uniaxial pressure on the development of 3D fractures and properties of clay cap rock from a geothermal area in Indonesia. The rock sample was subjected to increasing pressures and analyzed using digital image processing. Results show increasing pressure led to changes in fracture orientation, aperture, density, intensity and fractal dimension. The sample fractured at a pressure of 478 bar.
