1. Remove/install coolant thermostat for engine models 156.982, 156.983. 2. Drain coolant, remove intake ducts, engine cover, poly-V belt, thermostat housing bolt. 3. Detach coolant hose and overflow line from thermostat housing. Disconnect thermostat valve connector. 4. Pull out thermostat housing with thermostat from timing case cover as a single unit. Install in reverse order.
