What is Women about?

The study explores the experiences of 18 women following mastectomy, focusing on themes of loss, grief, and meaning reconstruction. Findings indicate that mastectomy, while lifesaving, complicates the acknowledgment of breast loss and associated grief, with women employing various strategies to cope. The research emphasizes the importance of recognizing this loss in psychosocial support for women dealing with breast cancer.
