The Ottawa Tribe originally lived in southern Ontario and Michigan but some were deported to Oklahoma by the US government and others assimilated into Ojibway bands. They spoke the Odawa language as well as English. Ottawa hunters and warriors used bows and arrows, clubs, and hide shields while fishermen used bone fishhooks and sinew lines.
