This document reports on field evidence of deformation structures observed in basalts of the Deccan Traps near Nanded, Maharashtra, India. Ductile and brittle structures including folds, faults, shears and thrusts were documented at field sites. Folds showed E-W compression. Brittle faults with thrust displacement of up to 0.5 cm were observed. Ductile shearing of basaltic veins was also seen.
