1. A novel bacterial strain, designated THG-SC4T, was isolated from soil in Yongin City, South Korea. 2. Based on 16S rRNA gene sequencing, strain THG-SC4T was shown to belong to the genus Taibaiella. It shared the highest sequence similarity (95.4%) with T. smilacinae KCTC 32316T. 3. Polyphasic taxonomic analysis indicated that strain THG-SC4T represents a novel species for which the name Taibaiella yonginensis sp. nov. is proposed, with THG-SC4T as the type strain.
