This document defines the Grayscale Softcopy Presentation State Storage SOP Class, which allows DICOM applications to specify how pixel data values should be translated to presentation values (P-values) for display on soft-copy devices. The SOP Class supports storing the grayscale transformation sequence, including modality LUT, VOI LUT, and presentation LUT. Both the originating and receiving displays must support the Grayscale Standard Display Function to correctly display the stored pixel data.
