The Government of Andhra Pradesh has imposed a punishment of stoppage of one annual grade increment on Sri S.Vijaya Bhaskar Reddy, the then Mandal Engineering Officer, for irregularities in the execution of a project under MGNREGS in Jammalamadugu. An inquiry found that he allowed substandard work and misappropriated funds, resulting in a loss of Rs. 7,50,980 to the government. His defense was deemed unconvincing, leading to the disciplinary action taken against him.
