A police officer stopped a car with two passengers. The male passenger pulled a gun from under the seat and asked the officer for his police gun. The officer denied having a police gun but then took it. The driver, Michael Stoddard, then fled on foot with the police officers chasing him. Stoddard was later charged with possession of an illegal weapon and failing to stop for police.
