About this document
Coir Fiber Impact on Oil Palm-PP Composites by Rafael Guerra is a document available to read on EtoBox.
This study investigates the mechanical and morphological properties of hybrid composites made from oil palm empty fruit bunch (EFB) and coir fibers reinforced polypropylene (PP). The results indicate that a 50:50 ratio of coir to EFB fibers yields optimal tensile and flexural properties, while hybrid composites with lower coir content exhibit reduced mechanical performance. Scanning electron microscopy analysis reveals that strong fiber/matrix bonding contributes to the improved properties of the composites
