VMAT vs. 3DCRT in Cervical Cancer Radiotherapy by yaroca77 is a document available to read on EtoBox.
This study compares three-dimensional conformal radiotherapy (3DCRT) and volumetric-arc radiotherapy (VMAT) for treating non-bulky cervical cancer using the central-shielding principle. Results indicate that VMAT provides better coverage of planning target volumes (PTVs) while reducing radiation exposure to the rectum and bladder compared to 3DCRT. The findings suggest that VMAT could be beneficial in minimizing gastrointestinal toxicities in early-stage cervical cancer patients.
