What is Comparison Social Contract about?

Thomas Hobbes believes humans are naturally selfish and require a strong ruler to maintain order. John Locke views humans as rational and advocates for a government that protects natural rights, allowing for the right to overthrow it if it fails. Jean-Jacques Rousseau argues that humans are inherently good and should create a direct democracy where laws reflect the general will of the community.
