What is Notes on the ingestive behavior of the vole Pitymys atticus (Mammalia, Rodentia) about?

The Greek vole Pitymys atticus is a rather strictly vegetarian small rodent. It can use virtually every vegetable material yet with preferences on either fresh or dry food materials. The typical eating position is sitting on their hanches and using the forelimbs as an opposing pair of graspers. There is no fixed time periods of feeding but the juveniles feed more frequently than the adults. The amount of consumed food is reduced with temperature. They store food material using the most suitable way for every case. They can use free water but they can survive well if only succulent food is available. Resum .
