This study evaluated the anti-ulcerogenic activities and possible mechanisms of action of extracts from 7 desert plants. Extracts from Conyza dioscoridis and Sisymbrium irio showed the highest protection against ethanol-induced ulcers in rats, with C. dioscoridis reducing ulcers by 91.1% and S. irio by 85.4%.
