What is Ractopamine about?

This study evaluates the effects of 10ppm ractopamine during compensatory gain in finishing pigs on their performance, carcass, and meat quality. The results indicate that ractopamine improves weight gain, feed conversion, and carcass characteristics without negatively affecting meat quality, even after a period of feed restriction. The findings suggest that the effects of compensatory gain and ractopamine are independent of the evaluated parameters.
