The nyangku ceremony is a traditional cleansing ritual held in Panjalu, West Java for over three months centered around Maulid Nabi. It cleanses heirlooms from the ancestors of the Panjalu Kingdom, stored in Bumi Alit. Water is collected from 11 sacred springs by elders and locals, then blessed and used to cleanse 3 heirlooms - a sword, kujang, and keris - during the peak panjamasan ceremony. Locals then fill containers with the excess water, believing it brings abundance and blessings when used for wudhu.
