This document proposes a new airworthiness directive (AD) for Bombardier CL-600-2B19 Regional Jet Series 100 & 440 airplanes. During testing of returned inboard flap actuators, excessive wear was found between the flap actuator and ball screw that could lead to a flap system jam. The proposed AD would require operators to inspect for unacceptable wear on the nut and ball screw and correct any issues found, in accordance with Bombardier service information.
