About this document
Paper 6 Biodegradation of Polyethylene Terephthalate by LIKITH P is a document available to read on EtoBox.
This study investigates the biodegradation of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) plastics using a combination of Aspergillus niger and Trichoderma harzianum fungi. The results indicate that the fungal mixture achieved 1.80% degradation with 10% inoculation and 1.13% with 15% inoculation, with significant physical changes observed in the PET samples. The findings highlight the potential of using fungal consortia as a sustainable approach to manage PET plastic waste.
