The Government of India has appointed Shri Justice Sanjeev Kumar as the Chief Justice of the Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh High Court effective from April 10, 2025, following the retirement of Shri Justice Tashi Rabastan. This appointment is made under the authority of Article 223 of the Constitution of India. The notification was issued by the Ministry of Law and Justice on April 9, 2025.
