This research examines the impact of BT cotton adoption on pesticide poisoning among smallholder farmers in India using panel survey data from 2002 to 2008. Poisson panel regression and linear pesticide use models were used to analyze the effect of BT technology on pesticide poisoning incidence and quantity.
