This meta-analysis examined the effects of curcumin supplementation on clinical outcomes in patients with inflammatory bowel disease. It found that curcumin significantly improved clinical remission rates, reduced symptoms, and increased endoscopic remission and quality of life in IBD patients compared to controls. However, the analysis was limited to studies on curcumin due to the small number of studies on other antioxidants. More research with larger sample sizes is still needed.
