The study aimed to determine anxiety and depression rates in relatives of ICU patients and investigate relationships between psychological symptoms and patient/relative characteristics. Relatives of 78 ICU patients completed questionnaires assessing anxiety and depression. Anxiety was found in 36% of relatives and depression in 72%.
