Michelle Brosius led a virtual field trip to Kopf Family Reservation on July 24th. She observed 21 species of birds including Eastern Kingbirds, Red-headed Woodpeckers, Eastern Bluebirds, and the target species of Eastern Wood-Pewee. Using the Merlin Bird ID app, she was able to identify birds by sound, locating an Eastern Wood-Pewee. The reservation provided a wooded habitat for migrating and nesting birds along its streams and trails.
