This study compares the effectiveness of Erich arch bars and intermaxillary fixation (IMF) screws in managing mandibular fractures. Results indicate that IMF screws require significantly less time for application and removal, provide acceptable occlusal stability, and have a lower incidence of glove perforation compared to arch bars. The findings suggest that IMF screws are a favorable alternative to Erich arch bars for temporary intermaxillary fixation in mandibular fractures.
