About this document
Toluene Alkylation Curve Fitting Analysis by Amin Khan is a document available to read on EtoBox.
Toluene can be alkylated with methanol at 400 kPa to produce styrene monomer and ethylbenzene. Experiments were conducted at temperatures between 465-540°C. As temperature increased, toluene conversion and styrene yield increased while ethylbenzene yield also increased. Polynomial curves were fitted to experimental data showing relationships between temperature, toluene conversion, and product yields.
