The study investigates the effects of blueberry husks and probiotics on colorectal inflammation, oncogenesis, and liver injuries in rats subjected to cyclic DSS treatment. Results indicate that both blueberry husks and probiotics significantly reduced disease activity index, colonic ulcers, and dysplastic lesions, while also mitigating hepatic injuries. These findings suggest a dietary approach using blueberry husks and probiotics to delay colorectal carcinogenesis and liver damage in a rat model.
