This study investigates the effects of diets enriched in unsaturated fatty acids on early embryonic development in lactating Holstein cows. The results indicate that cows fed diets high in a-linolenic acid (from flaxseed) exhibited enhanced embryonic development compared to those on saturated fatty acids, as evidenced by higher blastomere counts in embryos.
