What is Effects of a magnetic field in Kondo insulators: An exact diagonalization study of the Anderson lattice model about?

We study the low-energy excitation spectra in the Anderson lattice model by using an exact diagonalization technique on small clusters. We focus on effects of a magnetic field on the single-particle excitation spectra in the so-called Kondo insulators. In contrast to the hybridization band picture, our calculated results show that the gap in the single-particle excitations remains open until the f-electrons are fully polarized. The magnetization comes mainly from the f-electron spin polarization, which is caused by the large spectral-weight change in the upper and lower Hubbard bands of the nearly localized f electrons.

Who reads Effects of a magnetic field in Kondo insulators: An exact diagonalization study of the Anderson lattice model?

It is typically read by researchers, students, and practitioners in Physics and Astronomy.
